C. Family

We had planned this shoot for a few days earlier, but it was cloudy and gloomy.  After talking to the Mom and telling her I really wanted a sunny evening for her session, she rearranged their work/activities and we moved it to a Tuesday afternoon.  And…it was perfect.  When the client listens, and understands that the weather ultimately decides if their is a session or not, it really helps me do my job.

The middle daughter is my daughters school friend.  She is kind, shy and funny, her older sister is more extrovert and knew exactly how to pose in front of the camera, and her baby sister is the one that keeps them all on their toes.

Mom and Dad, you have three wonderful girls and I loved spending that warm Dallas evening with you.

B. Family

Lets talk props, more specifically balloons.  I have a love/hate relationship with them.  They look great in photos, but they are a pain to deal with.  They pop while inflating, they pop in the car (and scare the living daylights out of me!) or then if they survive it all the way to the location, they pop once there and make the poor kid cry or they let go of the balloon before the photo has even been taken!!

In this case, I had told the Mom that I had a big pink balloon that I wanted to use, filled with confetti.  This is what happened:

  • First ballon was under deflated. Couldn’t use it.
  • Tried again, this time I over inflated it, it burst, in my office.  Confetti EVERYWHERE.
  • Tried again, this time, helium tank ran out.
  • Arghhhh!!
  • Used bubbles instead 🙂

But who needs balloons when you have a gorgeous family to photograph?!

Sweet Senior ’17

Introducing this well rounded senior.  In the few hours we spent together, it was hard to miss just how lovely her personality is. Happy, calm, funny, intelligent, and all the other adjectives that can be used to describe someone that you like being around!

Good luck in your final year, you are going to go far and you deserve all the success you achieve!
