Love sessions like this. Sunset, warm water, happy child and some surfers thrown in for good measure 🙂
I am lucky enough to call this fun-tastic couple good family friends of ours.  The have introduced us to some excellent restaurants, my son to rugby (I call it wrestling) and my husband to the ‘egg’. Every time we get together my jaw hurts from laughing so much.  We were at their house over the summer when I took out my camera and had an impromptu photo session.  Little K was not impressed, I think she needed advance warning 🙂  But C was born ready! He stuck his tongue out, laughed at my silly jokes and played up to the camera.
They have moved on to pastures new, Â and are missed. Â I am hoping that when the weather gets COLD where they are, they will decide to move back to the Big D!
Tomorrow my kids go back to school, and with that the summer is over.
– No more sleeping late or lazy mornings
– No more Disney or Cartoon Network TV marathon watching
– No more trips to Sea World (yes, we are known to go 3 times a day!)
– No more ice-cream between breakfast and lunch
And the list goes on…
In the morning I will take photos of them before they leave for school, just as I do at the beginning and end of every school year and it always takes me by surprise as to how much they change and grow year to year. Â And every year I make a promise to myself to not be so rushed, slow down a bit and enjoy spending time with them. Â No big deal if we miss swimming or dance or any other activity for one day!
Rewind to the beginning of summer, the weather was getting warmer and the bluebonnets were out.  School was still on, it was close to her bedtime, but we decided to stay at the park just a little longer.  She was happy and I didn’t care that I broke the ‘no staying up past bedtime’ rule.  So even though we are all going to go back to the same ole routine tomorrow, I am going to break my own rules a little more often now.
Hello again to the wonderful S. Family. J & J are growing up, laughing more and moving even faster. We started off at some fields near their house, however the balloons popped before we could use them and then J Snr was unfortunate to get splinters all over his hand, so we decided to move back to the house.
The house session was going well until J Snr decided that spitting water out was probably the most fun he had had all day. At which point it was time for me to call it a day and have the Mom take charge of her 3 boys again!
